the valley town is Sierre not Sion which is a little further west, then there's the drive up the hill which takes a little time as on that viedo Ross posted :lol:

I would be petrified driving on that road, just a little wall around the edge...........no way

We got hit by a rockfall just there at the start of our first winter here, Mrs Ise's car was only a couple of months old and it made a nasty mess of the body work.

That is the main road, it's 2 way, and you share it with lorries carrying whole tree trunks, locals and the Postbus (which has right of way of course) )

I'd not worry about the postbus, the reason Switzerland has no world class F1 or WRC drivers is all the drivers drive postbuses in the mountains :D They're pretty good and I'm the least worried about meeting one.
