Thanks IceGhost! :-)

Have many people been to Alpe D'Huez? :-) I'm booked up to go on the 24th of this month - Can't wait!
I read that there are two snowparks (anyone know if they're any good?) And also they have a flood-lit slope for night time skiing - I've always wanted to try this, anyone ever done it? How was it? :-)

Cheers!

Don't know about the park but remember to ski within your limits, there are some seriously big hits and have witnessed some people get hurt pretty bad. The progression is generally pretty good in parks about just now, start small and work up. They had some pretty big problems at RCR but there was no real progression-people hitting 60 footers without any jump experience=bad times. Night skiing is cool as but pretty limited. Something everyone should try..

Of course, I have started small :-) I hear there is one park for beginners and one for experts - I'll be lingering around the beginner park.. Hurting yourself gets you nowhere is what I've learned :lol:
Night time skiing does sound pretty cool, I seen an image of it featured on the Alpe D'Huez website;

Pretty limited like you said, but can't judge it until you've tried it at least.. The good thing about it is the price is included in the lift pass so no extra cost :-) Still unhappy about the prices of lift passes mind you, but we can't do anything about it :wink:

A pass for 6 days in Banff is £320 or so, still unhappy? :wink:

My bad I was looking at a 7 day when I was thinking about booking. It is quite sad that you looked that up, Chris :wink:

baillie, I'm looking at getting into freestyle skiing.

I've been skiing about a year like you and I go to Chill Factor in Manchester. Also like you it has become my most favourite thing to do. I'm hooked.

So anyway, freestyling. Did you get any tuition or did you just throw yourself on some rails/jumps and hope for the best?
Once I get back from my holiday in February (The missus won't let me go before then in case a break something) I'm going to be going to some GROM Camps at chill factor. It's basically a bunch of professional freestylers doing some mass coaching. £30 for 3 hours including all slope fees. Don't know if you have heard of it but I'll attach the link to their website. I'm pretty sure they run them up in Scotland too.
