If you put any kind of lube on them, make sure it is not something that will react with the plastic.

You Could try some Armor All or a silicon based lubricant.

Trencher

You could try K-Y jelly, that wont react with plastic :

Um...I think K-Y Jelly is water soluble...so unless you carry a tube with you )

Yes it is water soluble, its just that I have to reccomend it all day long I just could not resist on here

Tracy

The squeaking usually stops when they are paid for ) )

it is normaly caused a plastic rubbing on plastic or sometimes the shell on the liner, try a small amount of silicon spray on the shell where the upper part and the lower part meet, around the ankle rivets and at the plastic overlaps are the most common places, a small amount is all that is required use too much and you will struggle to hold onto your boots to put them on in the morning. DO NOT use WD40 the oily base attracts dirt and can make the problem worse, it also can react with the plastic

if that doesn't work and it is the liner then make sure that the boots are dried out well every night as sometimes a bit of moisture can cause the liner to squeak on the shell.

you did mention that this happens when you walk, based on that i would think it is the shell around the ankle rivets and apart from the silicon would suggest that you only book ski in ski out accomodation in future :D :D

brill, thanks for all your advice - even though some of it made me laugh.

i have had the conversation so many times about them not been paid for, my mum always used to say squeaky shoes are not paid for.

i will try and get some silicone spray and hope that works, failing that my hubby says i have to go to the darker side and snowboard - NEVER!!!!! )

i always used to have a problem where i could not feel my feet, then my mother in law taught me how to rotate the latches giving it more space - what an invention - skiing with feeling in my feet, FAB, now just need to sort the squeak out.

Thanks again

Tracy
