I hired from Basle last March and I think I paid extra, but never used them 8)
They say two and a half hours but I did in under two but it does depend on the weather, I booked through Avis with Airmiles, but use car trawler or Argus they are always good value 8)

The train that links into my flight seems to have five changes. Too many

Hi Guys,
I'm going to Anzere in February, which is actually my first time skiing in Europe, so have a couple of questions if anyone can help.
We're planning to drive from Basle airport to Anzere, staying at a hotel right by the cable car, and was wondering what accessibility via the roads is likely to be at this time of year? (i.e. will I need winter tyres/snow chains)
Also, any recommendations for cheap ski hire and where to get the best priced/deal on lift passes? Am only a fair to good intermediate, so don't need any fancy gear.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Mat

Wow, thanks for the quick reply man, will do.
Any idea if it is a common service for car rentals firms in Switzerland to offer chains?
