Tony yes i know Le Grave is no use for my parents! )
Thanks for that iLoveSkiing!
Proves quite useful i'll let my parents know when we're over that heading up to the glacier is probably their best bet! Especially if its not overly crowded! Thats the sort of thing they love!
In terms of off-piste, over then Le Grave is there a fair bit to be found in Deux Alpes??
Cheers

Apparently L2A is one of the most snow-sure resorts in the Alps... plus shedloads of skiable area. I don't think you'll particularly regret having changed (or having been forced to change :/ ) the resort for your trip...

I went to L2a 2007 and enjoyed the resort. Loads of runs to choose from and beginners / low intermediates will love the fact they can ski from the top of the mountain!.
If you want to do L Grave..... you need your heed tested! professional snowboarders have died there, so unless your some demon on the planks...... there are plenty of runs at L2A to keep you happy!
I friend of mine for something different (and having been all over L2a) took a day trip to AlpDu, hired a guide for the day and had a blast! And he flew over in a helicopter - wasnt too expensive either.
The trip up and down each day at L2A is by various (eggs) and you'll soon work them out - we used the RED ones a lot. Great restaurant at the top right next to a STEEP black run.... when they fall on it they go right past the restaurant......
Having been to La tania and L2a - you'l not be disapointed with L2A
