On a similar theme, if you get told your cv looks "interesting", you are not going to get the job.

Coming from Newcastle, this made me giggle!

So you could add, only wearing a shirt with the sleeves rolled up in mid winter to Bandits "out on a Saturday night" description.

Brad, There are a lot more Indian restaurants in the US now, so give one a try. You'll see why the British are addicted to Indian food.

Also u-tube has a lot of Brit commedy that PBS didn't get. Try searching "Rutland Weekend Television", "The Goodies"

You must have seen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZvG-0Y7GCg

I wonder if Tino_11 is a Newcastle Brown Ale drinker. 10 pints of that would see off most blokes

hehe

that analagy of a curry really made me giggle too as I am also from Newcastle and yes I often go out in the middle of winter with only a thin strappy top on!! dont ask me why, it is just the "done" thing, you would just look out of place with a top coat on!

I am not a lover of Currys though, much rather have a kebab!!

So, talking of the trans-atlantic, something that might affect the budget ski trip next winter. Inflation is rampent now and McDonalds is ending it's dollar menu (that's right, a 50p menu). For those who needed cheap if less than healthy sustenance there was double cheese burger, a chicken burger, a salad, medium fries, or 2 apple pies. Others will follow I'm sure. Wendys still has baked potato or a cup of chili for 50p. America ain't what it used to be - cheap, unless your from Europe ).
