Aj,
Have you seen the movie, "The Yellow Rolls"? If not ,,you should because I am thinking of writing a short story about these gloves as in the moviie! As if they were human and now they were "talking" about their lives with Pavel!
Let me just say that they kept me warm at top of Mount Washington leanto in -30 weather! They slept in one of the finest inns at Deer Valley ski resort!They were great at holding a very hot coffee mug heated by an MSR flame!
Yes they also protected me from those fast coming poles that love to hit your head/nose and other parts of your body!
I will miss them! Yes they smell. A smell full of memories!
If you have read some of my tips,,,you would know that smell since not only do I use baby powder for my boots but I also sprinkle a "dusting" in my gloves for that easy slide in!
