But are these Tigersharks a bit of a cheat and going one step too far, Or am i getting too old for change.
If not whats the cost of progress.

The more I think about it, the less I need the switch. It was nearly one those spur of the moment things you don't understand later.
I am normally not limited in the number and type of ski I use. If I want to do two different types of skiing on the same day, I take two pairs of skis with me. In fact I'll often ride two different snowboards and two different pairs of skis in any one session.
I could see that if you were restricted to one pair of skis, the power switch would be a boon. Thinking it through further though, that would be when flying to a resort. Bearing in mind Jan's comment on the fragility of the system, would you trust it to the baggage handlers ?
I think that until these have been around a couple of years, a Metron type ski would still be the best do everything ski. I'd still like to try some.

Having seen cutouts of the switch and the rods that the switch moves I don't think that the reliability would be a problem.
As mentioned above though, is it necessary? Call me a cynic but I've always been a bit dubious of new ideas which add things to the 'outside' of skis. They give the sales person something to point to, and the customer something they can actually see - both help to sell skis but do they make them better skis? Who knows.
