Most likely hard work off piste, unless you are an expert

Still a piste ski, you'll cope with easier OP, but likely flounder in deep pow

Getting a more OP focus, will be hard work in bumps, fun in pow. Have to ski em faster

Wider waist, better float, will feel like a barge on piste will produce amazing float OP. Need lotsa bottle

Bandit , thanks for the other perspective. Although some of the fat powder skis do have a smaller radius sidecut, 16/17M

My X Cross 10s have a 13m radius. I dont have a choice of ski, so I wouldnt be able to tell you the difference.

I do like long, fast, cruisy turns.
