well, the decision's been made for me. the insurance company will only pay out if i'm unfit to travel.

so, anyone know any good bars in tignes for a sad and lonely woman? )

Take care - making a claim on any insurance policy with information or details that are not 100% true is FRAUD. You could find yourself in real trouble. However, if a Dr says your unfit to travel, then I guess you're in business.

Just remember, if asked by a Dr " Does that hurt?? " Make sure you scream and hollar... They'll be sure to sign you off...

Then personally I'd keep the cash and spank it next year in the US or Japan...
You'll never know, unless you try...

Awwwww Carona i`m deeply gutted for you,I can only imagine how you feel.
Its a personal choice as to whats the best thing to do,But i would probably go and try to have a good time for the sake of the kids.Never put your life on hold,The memories of your children having a good time will last forever,Its a small sacrifice to pay even tho its a pretty painful one.
Think positive and be brave and i wish you well in your recovery.x

caron-a,

I'm in agreement with putting off your trip until you are in top notch shape. If the medical people suggest you shouldn't ski then they for that matter should give you a letter stating you should also not travel. Get them to assess you travel capabilities and when they do, as was suggested, screem in pain - if you can't feel any then imagine the pian -- just screem!!!

As far as your boys' disappointment, use this as another real life lesson. Life is full of disappointments. Although this is a disappointment to you - and I too am sorry for you - stop your crying .. many others have worse things to contend with.

Put your situation in perspective ... and all will work out.

Take care,

Mike

Sorry Mike from NS,But i can`t see what lessons are to be learnt from this. The kids are upset because moms upset,Moms upset because she feels she`s ruined the holiday and your answer is simply dont go and the kids will get over it.Caron-a feels bad, and with an operation possibly looming,Never mind been racked with guilt if she did`nt go.The enjoyment she`ll get from watching he boys is priceless,Kids are not kids forever and before you catch your breath their all grown up.Moneys not everything it can`t buy memories.
