"The 24th", In the US this is one of the best days to be on the slopes. The normal people are all shopping or preparing for Christmas. My local hill is always deserted.

Less than 10 mins from my front door to riding the lift, more than makes up for the lack of vert. They also make the best snow, adding bacteria and other wierd stuff so there's less ice. Thier claim to fame is that they have started more people on the way to the US ski team than any resort.

I picked up some nice poles this morning ... maybe I should wrap them and try to forget about them for a couple of days. Also bought a "cool" pair of goggles for my wife. These won't be delivered in time so I'll wrap up a picture of them for her.

I have already had 2 trips this winter so far, and I'm still spending quality time on the webcams and snow forecast sites :D
