Brian,
I asked Pavel the same question once (he won't let me forget it) and it was his signal to step in and help me. I had even used "paro-wax" - a parifin wax for sealing preservatives (jams, pickles etc) because the package said it was good for skis. It probably did no harm; but just watch and Pavel will set us straight. But scented bases would be nice :!: The faster we went the stronger the scent :!:

Everyone thinks the battery packs on my wife's boots are for boot heaters, but really there's a Glade plug in air freshener on each ski.
