I forgot to tell you about this jacket!
It is house trained,,however when it begins to snow it does get "agitated" so you must take it out!
As the winds pick up in the chair you will notice that it tends to cuddle closer to your neck. Do not worry, it is not trying to "choke" you. I have inserted a "chip" in the left section of the collar. This chip will activate an elastic which will tighthen at -20c!
Also,,,you will note that there is an Ipod sleeve on the left side. This also is wired to a chip which generates vibrations in tune to the music! Try the Beach Boys on steep section! I would avoid all Pink Floyd music while skiing!
Finally this prototype also has a heat activated Spyder! Do you remember the "mood" rings of the 60's? Well the Red spyder logo on the right side will change tones of red as you ski! I could never figure if it is related to my ski speed or my "fear" level! Anyway ,,you will have others skiers tell you about this!
By nice to jacket!

The jacket has arrived :!: :!: :!:
It was very craftfully wrapped to keep it in the best of shape for transport. Thank you!
I have been wondering what I could put together for a suitable avatar for this sight - and for all to see how well this jacket fits and to show my appreciation ... what better avatar might I come up with.
Thanks again,
Mike

I understand Ellistine is buying all sorts of books on skiing and will soon have his bar wall full of "old"2005-2006 ski equipment!

it appears that the fleece is working well, in your avatar your face looks somewhat on the warm side(red)! Or perhaps you may have over done the fake tan :?:

No fake tan here -- heck it's not even from wind burn from charging down a slope somewhere :!:
The red is one of those face masks for skiing in the -25C days when the air is crisp and the windchill makes it a -35C day. This one is made by "Peepers". And I bet my face was just as red due to the heat these thinks keep in.
It's what I use in photos since I'm so camera shy
Thanks for asking,
Mike

I totally understand the shyness/photo thing, I mean look at my avatar, I too have a mask over my face(eyes). Yes that's right..........I am Zorro, but sssh......don't tell anyone :P
p.s. over here in Europe we don't need such face masks as the temperatures are rarely as harsh as you mention :)

It's not photo shyness - I just don't want to tramatize any little kids that may tune in
Usually we get about a week of -25C (-10F) during the third week of January and maybe a few other days as cold at any point during the winter. But last winter when the cold came it lasted the better part of four weeks and some nights were as low as -30 or colder. A warm day during that spell was around -15. So when you add the wind chill it felt like about -30 to -35C which is too cold for a fun ski day.
One day a year my wife and I go to the "other" ski hill; and last year it was -25 there before we left home for the 90 minute drive. We questioned any intelligence of the day's plan but it was worth it big time. Good conditions and no people. The cold has some pluses :!: There was little wind and despite the cold it was a good day. Within two weeks we had a huge rain storm and the hill was just about washed away.
On another day my wife was away on business so I decided to go skiing. I wanted to put in a full day with a goal of 50 + runs. At this hill (Martock) it is a 10 minute ride to the top and if you're in a hurry it's only a bit more than a minute back down. This day was one of our colder days at about -20 to -25 with wind. My efforts took me from the first chair at 9 am to 6:45 in the evening without a stop. Up & down...up & down. I did get to 51 runs but it took me the better part of a few days to get over a deep seated chill. The cold was not a pleasant factor that day but neither were all the school kids. We never went skiing when I went through school  School must be fun these days.
Didn't mean to prattle on ... but we had our first snow last night .. so I'm a bit excited... We have a steep service road at the end of our street and if I could have beaten the kids there this morning, today would have been my first ski day for this year:!: But I cleared the driveway and put the snow tires on the car - missing that first ski day opportunity
If ... no - when you come to Nova Scotia and plan to ski be mindful the weather is very variable. What is forecast as a snow storm can just as easily turn to a rain storm (and that can go both ways)- all due to the close proximity to the Atlantic. We did get a 90 cm snow storm a couple of years ago that people still speak of as the blizzard of the recent past. Nova Scotia had powder rather than ice :!: :!: Not like the winters before I "found" skiing. There was always lots of snow then and not being into skiing I hated it. Glad I know better now :!: You can indeed teach old dogs new tricks.
