Glad everything worked out Dave, hope you get as much use out of them as you did out of the Raichles. Bit worried about how the puppy is eyeing up your new boots, I would put them out of reach if I were you!

Thanks for the compliment AllyG, if you've lived in the alps for 25 years you're bound to pick a few bits of useful information.

Heck, I would be delighted if I could get another 27 years skiing ~ in any boots! Or another 100+ weeks skiing from them! that will be doubtful though, if, as I pla, I leave one pair in Niederau, and one pair for other skiing.

Much depends on how much I like the vertical clip/quick spin release, compared with my Raichle/other Nordica horizontal clip, which has a minor disadvantage of having to be located.
The new Nordicas are really quick to get into.
I used to jest with my ski buddy Mel that I would be halfway down the first run, before he had clipped up!

The US ski team tend to train in Hochgurgl nowadays, but for a couple of seasons, around Hahnemkam time, they trained in Niederau in the Race Arena. They were interested in my Raichle ~ mainly because few skiers wore them, but Bill Johnston had won an Olympic Downhill gold medal wearing Raichle boots.

Obviously BJ must have heard I had a pair!
