had to read this post twice, I thought you were having a joke saying that it was actually quite good? I am still not sure....

Brucie wrote:I'm just back from spending 3 months in Soldeu, Andorra. Really glad to be home, like Tony H I cant understand why anyone would ever consider going to Andorra when there are so many other good resorts around.

The ski-ing was poor, the snow was rubbish and no pisting is ever done, especially on the front runs which I had to ski first thing in the morning most days. The pistes are exceptionally busy, I had to queue once during Spanish Carnaval week!!!!!Queue once? That must be awful....

The restaurants in town are also poor especially theBruxelles which charges 12 Euros for a 3 course meal including steak. Is that expensive where you come from?

The people in town, locals and instructors are not very welcoming and are never seen in the pubs in the town.

There is never any music on in any of the pubs,... Could be seen as a bonus?

The pubs also charge ridiculous prices for beer compared to France,Is the beer about 10€ a pint? and the skiing equipment is also ridiculously priced, should anyone wish to buy skis or boots. Buy in the UK, simples

In short, DONT go to Soldeu, you wont enjoy it!!

Stick to France, Austria, Italy et al

Wow I always thought the best ski location was wherever you are at the time. End of day I think Andorra is exactly what it says on the box. Tax free (cheap and cheerful), limited vertical, limited altitude (i.e. not best snow in world) and too far south (i.e. not best snow in world) . Apart from that you should have great weather, great memories, and good friends. 10% of ski holiday is snow. Do you remember the snow on powder days or the face plants that come with it? Slushy snow at end of season or the late long lunch that takes you into après ski?
