Thanks guys from a size point of view, I like the sound of the running pack we have a go outdoors near by I think I'll try there

Ive seen A bloke get carried around and flung of the chair lift because his Pack caught on the Bar in Zell am See it made everyone laugh but it could have ended nasty. Im like Iceman I carry all the essentials in Mine I have a camelback nice and Slimline :thumbup:

Unless your going to carry Avalance equipage, why carry a back pack, seems a complete waste of time and money :twisted:

Perhaps you came out before the incident ..a child was strangled by the straps ...God knows how ! A local told me about it

Goggles fit nicely into pockets, extra layer don't need it, Mars bar no need for it but if it is must pockets, in fact they all fit into pockets.......... :wink:

I find I get very dehydrated very quickly, so water is a must for me, hence why I've bought a small backpack with bladder. Other than that, it's a bottle of water that always ends up squished within an hour or two!

Plus, slimline jackets are not necessarily the roomiest of clothing, and whilst I've enough give in mine to ski comfortably, I don't fancy cramming stuff into pockets.
Up there for thinking, down there for skiing...

I'd never get into a slim line jacket, it is horses for courses, just because I don't see the point in waring one , it does not mean anybody else should not wear one ......... just make sure you take it off in mountain restaurents as I have had to get grumpy with many back pack wearers in the past, one even knocked my expresso over, but I did make him buy me two back :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
