Went there 4 years ago, loved it, sun all week, loads of snow and not a queue all week.
Can be quite and lacks charm, but if you venture to the linked resort of La Toussuire it's great for lunch and has plenty of ski shops to browse with you boots on.
Would love to go back, and the deals for the place are great

I stayed in St. Sorlin D'Arves for a week with my girl friends & loved the skiing in that area. A couple of us skied to La Toussuire for lunch one day & had the most delicious pizza I've ever had. My friend & I still talk about it!
