Actually Wickers, I'm nowhere near sulking :lol: This is about standards and accuracy of data. I do appreciate your efforts to move my attention focus forwards :D

Personally I appreciate the time and effort that Pavel puts into preparing the quizzes, I learn loads about skiing when I do them that I would probably never come across in my usual reading. If some of the questions have more than one answer there is usually a small point in the question to indicate which is correct (although I often dont realise this until the answers are posted! :oops: so I think its unfair to criticise But then....Im very used to getting the questions wrong so its not so much of an issue for me.... :lol:

If you can spare the time, go back a few pages in this thread, to see that there have been a few problems, both with question structure, and acceptance of the correct answer based on answering the question specifically as set. The quiz was impossible to win IMV.

As for learning...I learned that whale sperm was used in 19c California on skis. Fat lot of use that is :lol:

You're forgetting I spent eight years as a publican, preparing and quiz mastering, we had some good times mind you 8) 8)

Wickers, having been given written answers to the questions set. I thought I would run one of the supplied answers through Google Search. It's not often that Google returns a 0 match, and a 0 partial match. I'd kinda hoped it would lead me to a source page so I could learn a bit more.
