I have picked up some really useful info about this airport in advance of 2 flights in to there this season. However, can anyone tell me what happens to ski bags on arrival - do they appear on the carousel, or do you collect them from a certain spot?
Also, on departure, do you take ski bags to the check in desk or to a seperate check in?
Thanks.

I don't know whether you recall mine and Hayley's experience last season..?
We got into the main part of the arrival area and were directed by a hand written note on a piece of A4 to
"carousel 2" We were then directed back to "carousel 1" after 20 minutes or so. Something like an hour and a half later amidst much to-ing and fro-ing, we collected our bags and skis from somewhere else!
I don't think this is the norm, but it really is anyone's guess as to how they will "organise" collection of skis and other luggage!
And you wonder why I don't like France.

Hi, Tony H
Our ski's came out on the same carousel as our luggage in Feb this year.
I think we also checked them in with the luggage but not 100% sure.

We went in December and it cam out on the same carousel, on the way back, once you had checked in you had to take your ski bag to another counter

If Grenoble is anything like Chambery, the I would have no idea which of the 3 different places we collected our stuff from, your bags may come from or indeed which of the 27 buses the two of you may be put on seperately. Tie this is with a landing which seemed like he spotted a runway from 10,000 feet and then switched the plane off and it's quite a pleasant experience.
Trains are what you want, no check in, no baggage supplements and they cant fly.
