I am ski-ing on the glacier at Tignes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week, during half-term. :-) I hope there is some real snow, as well as the artificial stuff, and my cold goes away.
I also hope I can still get into my ski trousers. I have eaten rather a lot over the summer holidays and my tummy has become fairly round. Otherwise I will have to buy/rent/borrow some bigger ones.

Hi Tony,
Well, I have had to put up with being jealous of everyone else, for ages, because normally we only go ski-ing once per year, and some people here seem to ski loads of times per season.
I am a bit worried about the weather. It's bucketing down rain here at the moment, and I have a nasty feeling that if it rains/snows at Tignes, it will be rain all the way up to whatever height the ski-ing starts. I haven't tried my ski clothes (assuming I can get them on) in rain before - suppose I get soaking wet? I mean snowflakes just land on top of you and you can brush them off and they don't seem to soak in.
Anyway, I will hope for the best, and let everyone know how I got on when I get back.

Dont worry, rain at that height and in the current temps will come down as white fluff.
