J2Ski - who are yer ?

I know. If you read my posts, you may have worked out that I like to have a bit of banter and can be a little sarcastic from time to time......
I meant no offence either.
Me? I am home based for a magazine printing company, and am logged on for long parts of the day online, and am able to keep a window open on this site, and able to type very quickly - some will say quicker than my brain is able to function! When i am not on here for a while, i am out on the road.
I am 40, married to the most beautiful person in the world, and have a daughter of 21 who is training to be a PE teacher, and a son of 18 who currently works at Thomas Cook booking holidays but who is going to America in the summer for 4 years on a football scholarship. Mrs H is a manager in the civil service. All of us ski, and in fact all of us skied together for a fantastic week in Jan for Mrs H's 40th.
Anyway, welcome on board. Skiing becomes more and more addictive as you get better at it, and as you go more often. I am already starting to behave like a small child with my trip to Serre Chevalier coming up this Sunday.
This forum is a fun place. There are people with a wealth of experience and knowledge on here: Jan I Stenmark, Ise, Bandit and Trencher to name a few, and others on here who just love skiing so much they cant stay away: Rose, Amanda, Caron-a, Ian Wickham and myself included.
Dont take things TOO seriously on here, and you will be fine!!!
Oh, and dont mention the N word.......
 Why aren't I surprised?

I live in North Nottinghamshire (come on amanda n - it's not so bad, some of the poor beggers on here live in the mountains & go skiing every day!). I work as a physio assistant with a great bunch of people who make me laugh every day. I also do a bit of part-time work at a water sports centre - to earn extra cash to pay for my skiing holiday(s).
We are currently redecorating our house as we want to sell it & OH thinks I'm researching 'ceiling lights' at the moment. I have a 10 year old who can ski better than me.....& he enjoys telling me so. He says I'd be better if I went faster
We love camping & spend as much time as we can in North Norfolk sailing our Swift 18 & generally messing about in boats (& mud). I have a fantastic fantasy world in my head where I spend quite a lot of my time & I enjoy making (& eating) chocolate cakes :D
I wish I'd had the opportunity to ski from an early age - but I intend to make up for it & ski until I'm a very old lady!

...because your boat is a Swift and Taylor's second name is Swift?
Just kidding, looks like an interesting little boat. Smaller than most dinghies I have sailed but still, interesting!

I learned to sail in a Topper, and progressed to an Enterprise. Not that I remember much about it. I was only 14.
