WANTED - APARTMENT FOR SEASON IN COURCHEVEL
Login
Hi Mike
I would have thought there should be apartments in the resort for seasonal workers to rent? They certainly won't want to pay the sort of rates us tourists would pay. I'd steer clear of ordinary holiday rents, as they will just charge you the weekly rental rate multiplied by the number of weeks, which for a whole season will be a lot. Have you tried Googling to find estate agents in the area? You might need to speak to agents individually and explain what you're after. They might know someone who would rent to you for the whole season. Also, are you determined to be based in Courchevel itself? You might have more success if you widen your search area?
Good luck

My wife and I are looking for an apartment, preferably ski in/out, for the whole 2009/10 season in the Courchevel area. We are mature (50s) and would look after the property. We have a good budget for a nice roomy place. Any offers/ideas?

Tony, why waste your time and mine with such a worthless reply?

Hi Mike,
You could possibly try ski horizon, who seem to have a lot of apartments in various European ski resorts (not used them myself but have heard good reports.) I don't know if they do season lets, but it could be worth a look?
Good luck with your search )

Thanks Lynn. Although we are not excluding renting a "by the week" apartment, I think our best bet may be a private apartment that is not normally let out, but which the owners want income from this year because they can't use it themselves. I'll check out Horizon though.

The prices on that Agence are a bit eye watering. 2 weeks 38sqm 5700 Euros for mid Feb. Maybe I'm reading the form wrong
One thing is for sure, the OP will need deep pockets, and "nice roomy place" and any French ski resort are not usually seen in the same sentence )
