Why haven't we got a similar thing going on.. how easy would it be to put one together? Would it work out?
Seems like such a good idea but would probably lack any sort of traffic.
For those who don't know: http://www.tramdock.com/

The muffled boom of avy charges in the distance, the white veil of fresh goodness that makes mortals gods for turns at a time, the quiet, pre-dawn panic leading to first tracks on a Wasatch pow day—Tramdock outfits the helplessly devoted. Whether you’re looking for in-bounds burliness, buttery jib-lets, backcountry asceticism, or anything in between, the 'Dock has your prescription. We’ve hoarded all the best ski deals in the industry and we’re triggering the gear-slide right onto your computer screen. That’s right—an endless storm of ridiculous discounts, on planks, boots, and ski-specific gear. All day, every day, the whole year ‘round, because Tramdock knows your fever doesn’t melt with the snow. So crowd in, attach your snorkel, and get stoked—we’re taking you straight to the summit.

Telemark Pyrennes are pretty good, with you all being in the EU it's a breeze. Their recent emails have some good deals.
Isn't this all for the little people (**) though? haven't you got some pro' deals?
** calm down, calm down, it was a joke :D

Pabs suggest keeping an eye on Sport Conrad, as in addition to their sale, they also unload their Test Range each spring.
All sorts of gear, sold as used, really cheap. I last purchased some BD Touring Poles from them, little more than half price, with the price tag still attached.
