We're going to Arinsal (i know some people don't rate it but it should be a nice easy start for the other half cos she's a dry sloper). There's skiing over 2000m so I'm reasonably confident that we'll be ok. I'd hate her first trip to be week of slush but I suppose it would still beat the dry slopes!

It seems that everywhere in Europe is warm at the moment but the optimist in me just keeps thinking that it will suddenly change and we'll get some massive dumps! Fingers crossed (for Saalbach as well tino!)

Oh and cheers for your snow dance eljay. I'm going to go and put some shoes on (so i don't stub my toe on the leg of the coffee table!)

I am gonna be bold here, but if Eljay's ritual works and I have powder coming out my ears in 19 days I will buy her a shiny new coffee table as thanks. Naturally it will have a much smaller radius so she can dance round it more efficiently. :)

Pas is looking ok for snow...you can get there from Arinsal so you'll definitely be able to ski. But I'm sure by the time you get there it'll be all sparkly and white!

If the historical snow reports are anything to go by, you have nothing to worry about. They are showing an average of 1cm at this time of year and plenty by the time you get there. Apart from 1997/8 there has been plenty of snow in the last week of December. (For the last 16 years)

Cheers for the info b4ndit- that gives me more confidence. It was just a bit depressing because there WAS about 50cm two weeks ago.....since then i've watched the brown patches grow! I'm sure it will be fine :? :lol:

I flippin' hope so. I am going to Arinsal on Jan 10th. It would be just my luck to see Andorra get the warmest winter on record!
