Snapzzz and Bedrock Barney - do you think the questions look OK? It's only meant to be a prototype survey so that everyone can look at it and come up with suggestions as to how to improve it.

It will be interesting to see how much feedback we get about the survey because it will be some measure of how many people (out of those currently reading the website) would like to go on a J2Ski group holiday.

What sort of age group are we talking about here?

My regular group range between 45 and 60 but we all act like we are in our 30's!

I didn't spend too much time analysing the questions (I'm supposed to be working!). The resort list might be a tricky area. You could easily have 50 names rather than 10.

Twofish,
That's a very good point

I never even thought about age groups

Maybe we should put in a question about that?

I suppose I could delete the question about how many people in the family group and then we'd have to do the survey for each person going and we could have the age question.

Thanks very much :D

Any other ideas?

And I won't know the answer to your question until everyone's filled in the edited survey - for me to know who's going and how old they are. I know I am middle-aged and I suspect Snapzzz and Iceman are quite a bit younger, and Ian and Andy are somewhere around my age.

I think your survey is along the right lines Ally.

Wonder if views around proximity of slopes (ski in/out) could be included. Bus/walk to skiing etc.

Also ...
Are you thinking one holiday destination, ie; one venue (hotel/chalet/set of apartments) or just "a resort"?

Obviously there would need to be a curfew on noise and drinking in the evening - I would suggest 9.30 as sensible.

And morning routine - breakfast 07.30 to 08.30?

Followed by the compulsary warm up exercises before heading to the slopes.

And Icy would be banned from walking around in his boxers - actually "moving around" is a better phrase, and all mops would be banned.

And ....

Or am I just micro-managing here?

Thanks Andy for your input. It's much appreciated :D

I won't know until I've phoned up some agents, but I was sort of hoping they'd let us book 3 lots of accommodation, so that we could each choose between S/C, hotel, and chalet.

We could have a ski in/ski out question but that one is a bit tricky. I know from experience that it's not straightforward. Off the top of my head I can think of these problems with that description. It might depend on:

1. Your ski-ing ability
2. How much snow there is
3. What distance you consider ski in/ski out to be
4. It may be gondola out, ski in

And it will, of course, be related to price. So it might be better if we asked about price first, to see how much everyone was prepared to pay, before we asked about ski in/ski out.
And, also, I can only have ten questions per survey. So I suppose we could start with this basic one and then follow it up with some more in-depth ones. That's why I put The 3 Valleys as a resort choice. If the majority of people want to go there we could then narrow it down to which resort within the 3 V's.
