Hi,
I'm tired of carrying my equipment over my shoulder every time i want to go to skiing.
Does anyone have any good solutions on how it would be easier to carry my gear?
Thanks

classic ski show buy )
we've got some that some company sent us as promo's or for test, I don't recall. I used it a couple of times when I'd hurt my neck/back and Mrs Ise uses one all the time although her skis are generally heavier than mine.
OTOH, lighter skis should make a comeback ) although I doubt they will anytime soon.

three simple options:
1. Door step skiing
2. Get your otherhalf to do the carrying ( my wife and son have mastered this art ) :D
3. buy a sledge

I'm half expecting you to already have the answer but if you don't, we have a couple of these that we use occasionally;

They work well but unless you're going to be carrying your gear any distance then it's always going to be quicker to sling your skis over you shoulder.

We have a gadget called a Pocket Ski Sling. It is a sort of small bag into which you place the ends of a pair of skis and then attached to the bag is a sort of adjustable sling affair which clips round the bindings. You then adjust the strap to the right length to allow you to carry the skis over the shoulder and off you go. As an asthma sufferer in my fifties, this has proved to be the best Christmas present I have ever had!! Husband found the gadget online and I think he ordered four of them for about £20 or so about five years ago. The whole thing fits easily into a pocket while you ski.
Someone gave me a little gadget on wheels which looked great in theory but turned out to be totally useless in practice.

Oli,
What bit of you is tired? You just hook the toe binding behind your shoulder, hold down the tips, and ....off you go.
I take it that you might not have joined us on one of our early trips up Helwellyn or Cross Fell, two/three hours walking up the mountain? :P

I always get shouted at by Mrs H carrying my skis over my shoulder, and waving them around like an idiot as I turn round to talk to people.
