Is your Breakdown cover for a year ? as I pay about £28 for ten days cover and I had to use them for the first time last year and they were excellent

yes it's for a full year, worth it as we knew we'd be driving to France twice during that time and the car's getting on a bit now....

Insurance aside(!) we're all booked for Sauze for a week over Xmas. I dont know if I'm allowed to promote companies on here but I'll take the risk because it may help a few people out. We (OH and myself) booked with Nielson- Xmas week, B+B Hotel with transfers, 6 day ski school, ski hire (excl boots) and lift passes for £1300 all in. I sincerely hope nobody shoots me down in flames here because i think it was a great deal!
Trouble is that I'm packed and ready to go! Only 4 months to wait.

Ally, on a direct drive, one night stayover in France, 40 eu. Last time 2 drivers back from Niederau, as far as Staffordshire, then solo drive back up to Scotland. 22 hours. Then went and played tennis!

Kate - driving does seem to be a sensible way of avoiding the hiked up transport costs during Feb half-term.

DaveMac - Don't you need to sleep? I'd have been wrecked after a trip like that - not going out to play tennis!
