How many units of alcohol do you consume in a ski day?

Nelly is correct. Direct Travel (for example) have a general exclusion statement:
We will not cover you for any loss, injury, damage, illness, death or legal liability arising directly or indirectly
from, or consisting of, the following
e) the direct or indirect effect of you using alcohol or solvents;

If alcohol is found in your bloodstream at the time of a claim, this insurer would rightly not pay, as it's not in the contract.

Does anyone know what the legal limits are, are there any legal limits?

I think if you appear to have had a skin full then I'm sure insurance would be out the window.

This is the reason the snow police are called to an accident, first to see if drink is involved, second to see that a (hit man/woman has not been employed to see someone off) which believe it or not has happned before, not me though :twisted:

"Talk about a hard challenge right there. ... If you ever tried to ski when you're wasted, it's not easy," Miller told "60 Minutes"... "Try and ski a slalom when ... you hit a gate less than every one second, so it's risky. You're putting your life at risk. ... It's like driving drunk, only there are no rules about it in ski racing."
Asked if the risk meant he would never ski drunk again, Miller replied "No, I'm not saying that."

My son is called Bode, edged our bets with the name that he was going to like skiing. Put his first pair of skis on aged 21 months & took to it like a duck to water. Worryingly though he likes hanging out in après ski bars with his parents & just like his namesake.
