We have planted several thousand trees here on our farm, and I'm considering planting a few thousand more. Trees are good. I like them.

How much money from the EU did you take ???????

As a matter of fact Ian, we didn't get any money at all from the EU for planting them. My mother planted them about 30 years ago just because she likes trees as well. But if I buy more land to plant trees on, then I will try and get an EU grant for planting them. But getting grants isn't easy - there is a great deal of paperwork and you have to be able to tick all the right boxes to qualify.

I'm glad you like trees as well Dave Mac.

Anyone else thinking about going to Tignes?

And if we go, how do we decide which gear to try out? I don't know anything about ski gear.

The testing and choice of ski equipment is very specific to the user's wants and needs. If you want to give your testing experience value, then perhaps you should consider doing some research on what is available, and decide what you want from the equipment you use.

For example, when I attended the Swiss Ski Test in Zermatt here,

I had made a list in advance, based on which manufacturers had signed up to the Test. I stuck to my list, and not taking what the reps were promoting.
