You started off well but then you fell away a bit at the end

It's well known the piste classification in st Anton is all over the place. I've reported before about blues tougher than many blacks.
I don't actually recall many blacks in st Anton apart from the Kandahar which is far from easy, and the run off Gampen (if that's the mountain you meant) which was steep and icy when I skied it in 2008.
The red off Rendl is quite a simple run, I don't recall anything of it that was difficult. Unless you're talking about the ski route from the very top which is extremely challenging.
But you're right - it does get busy in places at times, and the blue run off gets seriously busy and in my opinion is dangerous. You should have headed over to stuben or round to zurs if you wanted the better quieter skiing.

There are many places to go and yes St A is challenging but then so is skiing in Syria. It just seams that in St A with all the English being spoken "Ripoff Gt Brittan" mentality has taken over. Less English spoken better Skiing...... Apart from the Congo of course. Austria Germany for the complete experience.

St Anton isn't particularly British, just as many Dutch and probably more Russians. Probably as international as any European resort I've been to. The prices have nothing to do with the nationality of the visitors.

There is no sign OP has been back to read the ample advice in this long thread.
I went to St A Saturday for a day. I basically hated it. It was booked solid, overcrowded, and the piste traffic dangerous. The blacks I tried were pretty normal and in OK condition, the long red I skied (top to bottom of Rendl) was difficult, but the blue down from Grampel lift was seriously challenging by any standards (both I and the very experienced Austrian I was with found that blue significantly tougher than the blacks, a point perhaps deserving its own thread).

This thread asks what is the best Austrian resort for expert level skiers, to me that means off piste and maybe the itinaries and the odd black. Hire costs, busy pistes and queues etc are irrelevant to the question.

Correct. Ask yourself why so many people who ski St Anton don't use the pistes most of the time
