Just the men :D

There are some fairly good walking forums around for anyone into UK hiking.

Yes there is, walkingforum.co.uk is one of them. Problem is that we have a lot of banter on here. Looking at otehr forums they are very serious

One forum even had a note on the forum saying 'No banter'. Boooo!

How about J2camp

Brilliant idea - I suggest Norfolk

NellyPS - are you into canvas or nylon?

We own a number of tents in varying sizes for different occasions. Our main tent is a canvas tipi which we love to bits.

Gosh you are all so adventurous. Sounds exhausting.

I gave up camping years ago, I like my home comforts too much.

Skiing is my only strenuous exercise on hols, if i'm not on the slopes, I am on the beach.

Spain for me..... again this year (but I am still hoping my hubby may relent and we can squeeze in another ski trip before the end of the season) Fingers crossed.
I can see my house from here...

You and me both. Biking? Walking? Camping? Jeez, I'm not 21 or a hippy

Once winter is over, its time to leave the mountains alone and hit the beach. Usually Greek Islands for me, but not sure whats going to happen with their economy this year so leaving it late to book.

100% bob on!!

For the past 2 years I have been to Morzine in the summer and seeing the place all green, hot and sunny when lying in the pool is just fantastic!

There is a mountain that looks down onto Morzine (not Mont Blanc!), Rock d'en Fer (spelling?) - in the winter it is a white mass. In the summer it is fantastic. The hike up is hard work, but when you are there bl**dy hell it is great. I am off there again Aug/Sep will take some pics from up there and share them (they will have snow on so will be allowed hopefully)

Les Gets/Morzine great little places in the summer. Avoriaz, nothing changes unfortunately...

Step away from Ilfracombe and come to the Alps!
