We've got some friends who are possibly organising a trip to Neustift in the Stubai Valley.
Anybody been?

many times, I presume you'd got a follow on question though ? :)
The 30 minute transfer from innsbruck would clinch it for me.
the town's nothing special from what I recall, a lot of the hotels are spread out along the valley so they're not always central.
There's a handful of ski areas, the main one at the glacier with some great itineraries and one excellent one called something like the Wildgrub down to the valley station. Schlick is also pretty good and a worth a day or two. There's a ski area in Neustift which is small, maybe a half day worth and another I can't recall the name of right away.
It's really close to Innsbruck as well, easy transfer up. We used to go a lot at weekends particularly early season as it's snow sure and a short drive from where we lived at the time.
It's a good area, you should go )
Ive heard he whips up a cracking toooooomartoooo and motxrellaaarrrrr salaaaarrrrrd.

Only joking!
Usual question, what's the ski area like and just how wonderful is the town?
We have a range of skiers from complete beginners all the way up to me. Not that big a range then )
