My step sister is a tattoo artist (or so she calls herself.) Some of the designs are very clever and would look great on a wall, but seeing them etched into her leg and back just makes me cringe.

I'm sure she's going to run out of space to doodle on soon and will seriously regret it in later life!!!
It's such a shame as she used to be very pretty (think slim 6ft blonde) but has totally ruined her body with this and numerous piercings.

Still, each to his (or her) own I suppose.

Mine is never on view to the public. It started as a rosebud, but over the years it has grown to a fully opened rose  Dont regret it at all. Would really like a celtic upper arem band. I do not like hubbys tatoo, much to big, covers the whole upper arm and all around it. Its a work of art, but its pinhead from hellraiser.

I really do like some tattoos but I could never do it to myself as I have a very addictive personality in which case it's better not to start and then you don't have to worry about when to stop

If it's not open to public view then why would you have it

Just because something isn't on show, doesn't mean it can't make you feel good to have it, or be appreciated by those who do see it. I'm sure many of us ladies go out in nice undies - not on show but still feels good to know you're wearing them....

Probably going to regret that comparison, but hey...

Back to the mother in law thread, I'm lucky that mine is lovely and we get on really well. She also bought ski boots for both myself and OH as a present, so that made her go up in my estimations even further!!! :D

On the skiing front, I feel quite bad for her as in her younger years, both herself and my husband wanted to learn to ski, but never got the chance as the rest of the family wouldn't go. Sadly, she now has bad arthritis and it would be way too much of a risk for her to try. Still, we may persuade them on a winter holiday one of these days, even if just to enjoy the scenery. :D

Yes I do like ladies to wear nice draws, I blame the likes of a Robbie Williams who with others seemed to make it trendy to scar your skin, invest the money in a piece of art and admire that in private, I just struggle to see the point, anyway ski sundays on .
