We just came back from 3 Valleys. It was 3.5 euros for a hot choclate so we bought a bottle of rum and a hip flask to keep out the cold and made sarnies at breakfast.
Yes it hurts but the main reason for going is to ski right? So who cares if we can't have as many Vin Chauds and chips as we like just so long as the snow is good.

Welcome to J2ski :D Re: the Duty-Free's. Andorra is a duty free principality, unlike France or Spain the nearest 2 countries with a commercial airport :D
That is very kind - if you can just ensure it lasts until Saturday when I can draw money out there and pay for the GFs lessons I'd be most grateful!

The price of the euro is frightening.
Just bought 400E cost me £406 !
Still, as I prebooked lift passes and even got 2 for price of 1, the saving of one will off set the other.
Yes, I also bought a hip flask,but pondering on what to fill it up with.
As I'm going to Andorra, can I purchase duty free at the airport, or better to wait 'till in resort ?

Looks like someone managed to stop the value of the pound against the Euro dropping today - about to go over 1.10 again. Or is this a calm before another storm with more interest rate cuts expected? How exciting!
