The others were considerations but 280ukp HB for one week in mid Dec doesnt sound to bad to me so I thought I would go for it.

Ah, I see. I got the impression you were planning a world tour during the winter!!
Thats a good price for half board.
However, take plenty of spending money, cos drinks up there are about £50 a pint and £10 a coffee!!!!!

hello everyone, just thought i'd pop back and say hi!
Summer season is depressive for me, no skiin and crap weather is what i usually get.
Went to ibiza about 4 summers ago now and burnt the top of my feet so bad that i had to hobble about on "gammon" feet (as Alan Partridge would say) for 3 days, this included getting no sleep, due to the pain, missing a night out to see the Artful Dodger in Amnesia, (not too bothered about that - but i was the only one out of 20 left back) and being bound to the shade also. The skin on the top of my feet was so burnt that it went dead thick and turned "scaley," ming-a-ding-ding!
A good ole rainy, drunken bank holiday weekend in the lake district does me for the summer nowadays. Hot holidays scare the poop out of me!
