The snow is measured at the side of the piste, SnowLily, and it is uncompressed. I wouldn't worry, there are some freshies due this week,and the piste machine team are the best in Tirol....

Keep us posted on the snow Dave Mac....Please!! We are coming on the 26th Jan and are praying for loads of Snow!

I am there later this afternoon, and most of January, so will let ya know the full score tomorrow. It was rainy and rubbish last weekend, but temperatures have dropped and there is snow forecast.

I also need it to improve for late January!!

Ooops bit late. Saturday was great with some very useable off piste in Hopfgarten etc.

My kids did Niederau on Sunday and managed to ski down under the Gondola, so there is a good layer. We also have snow over the next couple of days.

I was boarding on Sunday in Westendorf for the avalanche training course, but my other son snapped a Metarcapal bone in the hand in a crash, so he is plastered for a few weeks. So the day ended for me at lunchtime.

So it's not half a metre of off piste madness, but generally consistent, colder and very useable.

I have visitors out next 2 weekends so hope it stays good.

Thanks for the update! Hope your son is ok? We have less than a week to go, how is the snow in Niederau now?

came back yesterday and it was good tho the black runs were a little icy in the afternoons
