If you go to Courchevel you must know what you are gonna get .......Remember it is just another mountain with snow on it 8)

And must say I was looking forward to hearing about your Austrian expedition - really sad when I heard how much your knee curtailed your skiing fun :cry:
I go to France .....
I speak the language well and enjoy that.
I am also very keen on the ski in and out convenience usually offered in the higher level ski stations rather than towns down in the valley.
Also when I have tried to be adventurous and go elsewhere something seems to go wrong!

I ski mostly in Austria. But just got back from a week in Courchevel 1850. I like the French food of course but 3 drinks in the Cave Bar was €70 so not exactly super value for a night out.
When the snow is good, it's good......regardless of Austria or France. Indeed Austria was a considerably better choice this year than North America for instance.
But you would be a sad man to completely "write off" Austria for skiing. Like all things in life - better to mix it all up as much as possible.
I fancy Canada next season.....

I suppose the whole point of this thread was not an I hate Austria debate but to see if any one shares the same opinion why do people visit a certain country as you can ski anywhere most ski resorts skiing are exactly the same. Have a think about it !!!!!!
