A Tribute to C & A

Hope you had a good trip Scarletgirl. We were very impressed by rooms at the Postwirt having had a makeover this year. They have had a staff change over though. We never used the hotel bar but the regular barman who was there who I think was Jimmy has been replced by a lad who looked all of 14!!

I tried that Ian but it just gives youtube episodes, what I wanted if poss was the whole series in one go to download & watch on tv, have you done this?

Hi scarlet fez. Had a fab time thanks. Did my first Black run there - didn't quite have the nerve in past years but nailed it this time!!! Jimmy is in the stube bar (if that's the right word!). Great refurb in hotel but sad to see some staff changes in the hotel itself - barman, reception & dinning room. Hope you had a god time as well.

I have an original tape from 1987 which I tried to get copied (for some of you) to no avail, because it had deteriorated too much and I had loaned it out too many times (this could have paid for a ski holiday at a fiver a lend!) I do wish the BBC would show this at the start of each season, it is their best ever documentary, I do wonder where the people featured now are and if they are still skiing?

I have visited the Falken Hotel in Wengen and seen the bench outside to the 'DHO', and smiled at the slopes in Soll when we dropped people off because I know that is where Kevin, Brenda and Maureen provided so many with so many laughs!

I too now have to make do with Youtube, I have my fix every now and again when someone asks what I find so funny about skiing!

I look forward to seeing this year's beginners....

I will get a copy somehow before the start of 2012 ski season....

IF you can get a copy on DVD, please could I obtain one from you? I was gutted when I gave my tape to a friend to copy (with the hope that it could be copied for others on this forum) but the tape was so used, it was not worth doing!

I defy anyone to watch On the Piste and not be dying on the floor laughing!! :D :D :D
