  Its coming down Tony, the time will fly past now. This should make you feel better - 39 days  I have just completed my first ski tune over the xmas holiday. OH's skis have had the edges done and a hot wax scrape and finishing hot wax. Mine have had the full wax treatment but I have to wait for 39 days to check out the fruits of my labour

Ian, No major problems as yet however, I do not have a workshop with a bench and therefore I use the kitchen table, when the OH is at work  I have found a pair of vacum (suction) vices which work very well on the kitchen work-surface and these have proved ok for the edge work. I use wooden blocks on the same work-surface for the waxing work. The only tool I need in order to service my boys skis is a side wall remover so I can get to the edges without snaging the side wall. This is on my wants list. Overall, pleased that I have started and practice will make perfect and save a lot of money in the process :D Now back on topic 38 sleeps
