Been to Grindelwald twice in early Jan. Never had snow problems. There may not be much in town but there's usually plenty once you're up the lifts.

Cold and shady in Jan. Snow should be good though.

Its not that he does'nt want ski holidays, he loves them too. But we hope to be buying a property, partly as rental/investment but mainly for a place to retire too. So all funds will be put into that if its a viable idea.

Wengen can get quite shady down in the town but up at Kleine Scheidegg and over in Mannlichen & Grindelwald there's plenty of sun

It's a fine idea, if it's a place you want for your retirement :thumbup: I think you should ringfence some skiing money tho!

Where are you thinking of buying a place?
