Maybe some enhanced tuition on how to fall too. Might sound bizarre but in Judo you have to learn to fall properly so as to minimise risk of damage. With over 65's being potentially more fragile it could be a good skill to learn. I know that when I fall now it hurts a lot more the day after than it used to 15 years ago. I'm starting to understand what people mean when they say 'kids bounce'!
I wish I could meet the person who first decided to strap 2 planks to their feet and throw themselves down a mountain

Similar to many who have already replied, I went skiing for the first time, when I was 59 last year. Went again this year. Well, maybe last year was not my first time, but there was a thirty year gap between when I went before, and I started again in the Beginners. I have kept myself fairly fit however, over the years, and though my knees suffer a little,I am able to keep going throughout my holiday. I'd say, as long as their flexibility is reasonable, then your parents should be OK, but they should always build up for a skiing holiday with ski-specific excercises.

As with Acarr I started skiing again ...after a 33 year gap... at the age of 60 ...never looked back and do at least 2 weeks a year and am plucking up courage to do proper moguls ..the best thing about being older is the discounts you get for the lift pass ...looking forward to doing the mileage when they get to be free
