I am 6'3" and weigh 106kilos and am technically obese ..but I go to the gym every day and have no trouble skiing reds and blacks @ 40k per day.. mind you the extra weight helps me go faster :roll: .,and I am over 60

BMI is a load of old rubbish, as illustrated by rugby players. I have similar profile to you, would like to loose no more than a stone, but in no way would I consider myself to be obese.

On a positive note, compared to my other half, who weighs about the same as one of my legs, I find it useful to be carrying a bit of weight in the powder. Perhaps that's the true origin of the term 'fat skis'.

I seen some sights over the years and they have all been big lads and they all had one thing in common they could all ski 8)
