they're paralleling down blacks now, they've got a week of lessons in tignes at easter, one more holiday without lessons (which they hate) and then they can learn to board.

they won't like being a beginner again. all part of the plan

Was discussing boarding with Jan, a couple of weeks ago. He is an A1 skier, but is an inquistive sort. So he had hired boarding gear, gone up the gondola, boarded down the mountain, and taken the gear back. His verdict, ~ he said he felt claustraphobic.

That's a pretty good description of why I packed it in very early in a lesson years ago. It was an odd feeling of being attached to something without being able to move legs independently.
Bon. Allez!

My Son, aged 27 had his first ever winter holiday last week, courtesy of me, 'cos we couldnt go. He had a boarder taster session, the verdict: No way, too dangerous, if I damage myself then I am s*****d for work, but god is'nt the apre ski good. Would go again just for that. So not another convert.

The SX 7 has been revamped for 2008 with the PowerPuls system. A favourite with the sporty intermediate for many a year the SX 7 is once again a lively and exciting ski for its price point that is great fun and exhilirating for a ski of this level. Even expert skiers, although you will find it quite soft, are surprised by the agility, carve and poise of what is essentially an intermediate ski. If you are looking for your first pair of skis and want something with a little get up and go then the SX7’‘s are fantastic.
Light, grippy, easy to use and a sporty intermediates dream ski.

Excellent edge grip, extremely light and excellent precision. A new ski that will delight pleasure orientated carvers.
