Pretty sure Brucie has told me to lighten up in the past

But seriously why does this need to continue?

Ski boots anyone?

Whilst we are side-tracked, some awesome photos from today.. lift served fresh tracks a week after a storm? Who would have thought.

That'll be the problem then... I wondered why packing my boots was so hard; I just need to take my feet out of them first...

But back on-topic... get one of those wheely bags with a boot compartment - mine just about tips 20kg when full (including the boots) and is almost always the only bag I need to check in.

If you do use a separate boot bag make sure it's a strong one (boot bags are often used as promo items and some are little stronger than a Tescos carrier bag). Wrap the boots with fleeces etc so they're well protected, use a padlock and mark the bag so it's unique.

Your boots (assuming you've spent some time getting ones that fit you perfectly) are very valuable - take care of them!

I have the Dakine Fall Line (same idea as suggested above).

Hi,

The budget airlines are making it tough to carry anything but the basics within the luggage allowance, and hoping (I guess) to make at least some money out of charging for the oversize/overweight luggage, especially during the ski season. I just got back this evening from dropping the OH at Girona where Ryanair police are on the steps up to the security check, making everyone drop their handbagage in those carry-on bag checking frames and sending peeps back to the oversize luggage desk if it doesn't fit.
It's getting time (IMHO) to bring back the ski trains, chartered specials that are run overnight to get to the major resorts the next day, and (hopefully) avoid a lot of the hassle with airports, baggage handlers and stroppy check-in staff!

Has anyone even seen anything available, is this an an option?
