I think you should make it to Le Tour easily! It takes around 20-25 mins on the bus to get to the village, 5 minute walk to Vomaine ski area - had our 2 hr lesson today. To be honest we find 2 hrs enough, it's pretty hard work as a beginner.

There is so much snow up there; not in town or on the lower slopes but it is very deep and really good :-)

The nursery slope drag lift is still free, when you progress to green/blue it's only 14.80 for the day for the ski pass (3 euro for the initial card which you can get back on the last day). We bought a pass today for 11 euro for 4 hrs!

Hope you enjoy your trip!

Town looks lovely anytime - not really much snow at town level. Although as it is surrounded by mountains you only have to look up. Beautiful sunset on the top of Mont Blanc last night as we were sat in a bar having a drink in town - so pretty.

The snow is really deep at Le Tour/La Vormaine slopes and the journey travelling up there is spectacular there must be 10ft plus of snow on the chalet roofs.

Enjoy your time out here, I'm sure you'll want to return.

Ps - more snow in ski areas but not at town level so much. It snowed a lot yesterday when we were at La Tour, Vormaine ski lift - I guess that is where you'll have your lessons?
