Nah, Andy, you could have added a couple of inches for the ski boots and the same again for the ski hat, plus an inch for doubt, ~ no skier ever carries atape measure with them!

I am happy to ski any ski length, 140 to 210. Some adjustments in technique required!

I'm 5'6 and ski on 170s, about to buy a new pair, undecided on 173s or 180s.

But it really depends on the Ski, not all behave in the same manner and long skis can ski shorter than the stated length.

My skis are 163-175, and I am 5'6". I also have 156 cravers but they don't see much snow.
