Right I have had GoaBstahl. Costello, and the London Pub suggested as watering holes but not by anyone who has been there so far this season. Wakey wakey campers as 'Entertainments Officer' for our group I have to show I have done some research and enquiries!!!

Scarlet Fez - will expect a full report on your return as we go to Hinterglemm on 2nd Feb. Read nothing but good reviews on the Goasstahl bar...might be some mentions on Tripadvisor

Skied Saalbach-Hintreglemm about 6 years ago - but can remember it well - Bobby's in Saalbach was where a lot of the lads from our hotel used to go and I think you are quite near there - further over the Goatshall (or something like that) was very popular - I do remember on late Monday afternoons they always had a live concert on in the square just up from your hotel - Europop and all sorts of bands, quite amusing to watch everyone dancing around in their ski boots. Fun resort - Saalbach is the party place - Hinterglemm is quieter - have fun!! We stayed at Hotel Austria mid way between the two - so had it both ways! (if you pardon the expression!!)
Rather a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office!

I do have say that this forum is now very poor for current reviews on this seasons resorts. I presume most folk post elswhere as I have found some very busy informative forums.
I will add that there are still some very helpfull and knowledgable contributers so it will always be worth still having the occassional visit. Off to Saalbach tomorrow, I will post my opinion on my return.

Give a wave to Hotel Austria, mid way between the two villages! Enjoy the resort - a lot of skiing! and fun to be had!
