Can someone help? My other half is 40 next year on 19th March and we would really like to go on a second ski hol for his birthday. We plan to go 15-22 March. I know Easter Sunday is 23rd March. Will it be more busy from 15-22 March or from 23-29 March? We never go on hols at that time of year and want to avoid the crowds if we can. Thanks for your help :)

Only skied over Easter a few times but have found both weeks to be quite busy if the snows good, probably go the first week if i were you, the snow may be melting the second! who can predict what the weather will be!

Would say the first week but I know the Irish schools get both those weeks off this year, so i'd say there will be plenty of Irish. Been skiing at easter plenty of times and to be honest yes the resorts are busy but there are so many resorts normally the resorts aren't all that bad! Also 1st week seems to be cheaper just booked that week today! Honestly probably depends what resort your going to. :D

I've never been to the Pyrenees but I know people who have and it suits them down to the ground, different strokes for different folks and all that!!

I think you'll find that most people give a considered view of resorts / countries they have visited rather than just 'rave on about Europe'

oh yeah might have something to do with the cost?? Most of Europe is going to cost the same as the flight alone to Canada / USA

Cheer up, winter's coming
I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those pesky kids!

It shouldn't be as busy as it usually is either week - the French schools aren't on holiday and English schools are only getting the bank holidays off with two weeks hol later in April. The first week will probably be the least busy of the two as you are only getting one bank holiday...

good news! at least for those without children. It's a short season in a lot of stations with closing not long after easter. I was concerned we'd move straight from a busy February into a busy Easter then close in some places. At least when Easter is later we get some respite from the crowds!
