I need to remember to have an end of season tune with him and then a prep tune before skiing, rather than going in for one major tune with rust and mucky skis

At the moment we are having a tram system built which is a real nightmare, 3 years of MAJOR roadworks, road closures, business going under and general misery.
In an attempt to entice the public back into town they came up with a genius idea, a monster banner! the thing is cringe worthy and an embarrassment to the local community.
It said 'Welcome to beeston' blah blah blah.

Anyhow, out came photoshop, i just couldn't help myself.

The pic went a bit wild around local social media sites and i opened the local paper today to see the story in print!!!

Im not sure if i read somewhere that Jon (or it could be someone else) won't touch rusty ski's as it shows apathy and disrespect on your part to your kit. :( :(
I always take mine for an EoS tune and to have storage wax applied. My next visit will be just a scrape and brush, which sounds like a job for a gynecologist

Mr Nelly asked if it was too early to get the ski stuff out the loft. To be fair we both need new jackets, trousers etc so it would be a good excuse to have a rummage in the suitcase. And have a little trip out to try some stuff on.

Nothing booked yet though.

Unfortunate choice of city to compare to though. Think beach, babes and skiing. Probably best city in world for a red blooded guy.

On a more +ve note just completed a weeks climbing. Glaciers in northern alps are in amazing condition. Last years big season, no real hot spell in summer and the recent snow means looking amazing. Stable spell with mild conditions over last few days has nicely stabilised everything. Long term forecast, thick skinned onions and abundant berries all indicating another good season.

Proper winter feel to the mornings, all the talk has shifted to skiing and new stock is in. Definitely time to get shuffling through your gear.
