So a group of 10 ABSOLUTE beginner skiers got on the wrong lift when coming to the meeting point today and ended up at the top of a black run with no other way down. Five piste security men, 4 hours and a lot of reassurance that they would in fact not die made for a long day.

 Wow, surprised the did not allow them back onto the lift to return down (assuming it was not a pommel or t-bar). Would have been much quicker to stop it a few times and load them on it.

Terrible timing. Probably the worst illness she's had in at least 10 years.

We're hoping for a rapid recovery over the next 48 hours.....

Really sorry to hear that BB, a major bummer. Will she be all right to fly home?

Oh dear, that is awful, you have my sympathy. Some things have such bloody awful timing.
We haven't been ill in years and now we both have the bug. Of course mine is far worse than hers.

I hope you get some skiing in BB, it must be grim for you having to leave her behind every day. I would feel quite guilty and also worried whilst out.

We have just got back in after a full day just as the snow started to fall. The weather is really closing in now, we are staying in with pasta and beer.....and of course BBCworld news.

That's awful!

Do you think she'll have to go home on the train, if she's not fit enough to fly?

Best of luck for a rapid recovery :)

The lurgey is still rife in Les Arcs.

Mrs Snapzzz has taken to her bed for the day, i am coughing and spluttering like a 90 year old smoker.
Im currently just watching the weather as its very foggy today, im not a fan of skiing in thick cloud. If it clears i will ski. If not we will go do a nice lunch somewhere.

Oh dear Snapzzz - that doesn't sound too good :(

I hope you're both feeling better and the weather improves for tomorrow :D

I've skied with a cold a couple of times, and it does make things difficult! I find the worst thing is that if you're awake all night coughing then you feel too tired, as well as ill, to ski the next day :(
